If you have seen “IIBD” on a floor plan or a sales board, it stands for the Ibrahim International Business District — the state’s redevelopment plan for the Johor Bahru city centre. What IIBD actually isIIBD到底是什么

IIBD is one contiguous area in central Johor Bahru, inside Iskandar Malaysia’s Flagship Zone A. It is not a scattered set of sites and it does not cover other parts of Johor. In January 2025 it was given its own postcode, 80888.IIBD是新山市中心一块完整连片的区域，属于依斯干达大马的Flagship Zone A。它不是分散的几块地，也不涵盖柔佛其他地区。2025年1月起，它有了自己的邮编80888。

The plan is run by the IIBD Task Force Working Committee, chaired by PLANMalaysia Johor, the state town and country planning department. Sitting on it are the Land and Mines Office, the State Economic Planning Unit, MBJB, JLand Group and the Johor Utility Corridor. Why the state is focusing here州政府为什么重视这一区

The stated position is that IIBD is the city core of the Southern Gateway, that it forms part of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, and that the RTS Link will lift it. The first large project to break ground inside the district was Coronation Square, on 7 May 2026.
