The Star calls the 1,123 cases “serious crime”; Malay Mail lists them as violent crime. The JB city reports were flash floods on roads and low-lying streets that cleared within hours. The floods that needed relief centres were in other districts, such as Segamat and Kota Tinggi. But JB rivers can still rise: in January 2025, the Sungai Skudai and Sungai Tebrau stations were reported at danger level. No building is flood-free by default. - Use the JPS Public Infobanjir portal (publicinfobanjir.water.gov.my) for live river levels, rainfall and flood warnings.
